Choose how many photographs the reel should hold above, then add them here. The number of slots follows your choice.

Your photographs

JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC. They appear in the order you add them, so start with the earliest if you want it to run chronologically. Every slot needs a photograph before you can add the box to your cart.

Turn the crank, and your photographs scroll past one at a time — a small mechanical ritual rather than a frame that just sits there.

Choose whether the reel holds 8, 16 or 24 photographs, then upload them at checkout. We print and load them by hand, in the order you give us. The lid and the side can be engraved with a line of your own: names, a date, or something only the two of you would understand.

Every box is crank-tested through a full rotation before it is packed, so the first turn they take is a smooth one.

The Ritual

Every box is built from solid wood and fitted with a hand-turned crank mechanism. Your photographs are printed, sequenced and set into the reel by hand, then crank-tested through a full rotation before it is packed - so the very first turn is a smooth one.

Materials & Care

Solid wood with a hand-rubbed oil finish. Keep it away from direct sun and damp, and wipe it clean with a soft, dry cloth. Turn the crank steadily rather than quickly - the reel is built to last, but it is a mechanism, not a toy.

Shipping & Returns

2 to 4 days to make, then 8 to 15 working days for delivery. Tracked, and included on every order.

Because each box is made to your photographs, we are not able to accept returns once production has begun.

What happens after you press buy

Nothing is made in advance

Your piece is started once the order comes in, with the details you gave us. That is why it takes two to four days before it ships, and why we can still change it if you spot a mistake.

Checked by hand before it ships

Every piece is looked over by a person, not a scanner. Engraving is read back against what you typed, and photographs are checked against what you uploaded.

Tracked, and we answer

Delivery is tracked on every order and the number lands in your inbox. If something is unclear before you order, write to us first - we would rather answer a question than get it wrong.
